Compassion is an instinct deeply rooted in human nature! As humans, we get help and give help to those in need in order to create a happier society. Persons with disabilities play an equally significant role in our society as people with normal, functional abilities. But they do need some assistance in order to lead a life like the rest. A little and timely help means so much to them, helping them achieve the extra mile. There are various NGOs throughout the world, solely dedicated to the betterment and upliftment of these people. These NGOs encourage people with physical disabilities to take ownership of their own life. When they have sufficient self-confidence and self-esteem, they will not only positively impact their life but also others as well.

Society for Rights of All Women with Disabilities (SFRAWD)

The Society for the Rights of All Women with Disabilities (SFRAWD) is affiliated with the Federation of Tamilnadu Differently Abled Federation (FTNDAA) and the Women’s Indian Association (WIA). They aim to empower women with disabilities to get their legal rights. They understand girls and women with disabilities should have the same opportunities and rights as other members of the community since they are an integral part of society. This organization strives to enrich and empower the quality of these women's lives by educating them about life and employability skills toward self-dependence.

Samarthanam Trust

Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is a National Award-winning NGO that was founded in the year 1997 by Founder Managing Trustee Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar and his schoolmate and childhood friend, Late Sugur Paramashivaiah Nagesh

One of the largest NGOs in India, Samarthanam, aims to empower people with disabilities and the underprivileged via a variety of projects that are geared toward offering high-quality education, housing, wholesome food, vocational training, and placement-based rehabilitation. It makes possibilities available so that people with disabilities and the disadvantaged may stay up with society as a whole.

To assist individuals with disabilities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds with their educational and livelihood requirements, Samarthanam Trust is now a full-time organization dedicated to being a complete solution provider.

Martin Charitable Trust

Martin Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization fighting poverty, disease, inequity, and the environmental crisis in India. It was founded by Santiago Martin (Founder & Chairman of the Martin Group of Companies), who is on a mission to fight against the greatest inequalities in India. The mission of the Martin Foundation is to reduce poverty and justice, strengthen democratic values, and advance human achievement

Martin Charitable Trust is one of the well-known NGOs which has time and again given its all for the upliftment and development of the country and its people. The trust works closely with the state government in conducting various activities and programs that focus on bettering the lives of physically challenged people.

It has also conducted various awareness initiatives and has made many contributions to enhancing the economic status of these people.
