Martin Foundation unites with rotary club, Coimbatore to uplift the women in Coimbatore


There’s no doubt that every woman around the globe is a superwoman and capable of doing everything. Despite gender-based biases, women always find a need to improve their as well as their family’s health, security, education, and financial stability.

It is a well-known fact that the active participation of women in various sectors leads to a more resilient economy which eventually leads to economic growth and proves to be beneficial for our nation.

Martin Foundation has always been active in donating and contributing to the women's welfare in the country. To future enhance the economic status of women in India, The Martin Foundation in association with The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Aakruthi launched ‘Aakruthi Vocational and Aakruthi Counseling Program’, a program that offers sewing training to women from all walks of life.

Additionally, Martin Foundation also provided a special educational allowance, computers, laptops, sewing machines, and various health projects to the participants.

On this occasion, Rotary Administrators Mr. Kumaresan, Mr.Ganesh Kumar, Mr.Jeyakanthan, Mrs.Kavitha Gopalakrishnan, Aalam Foundation Founder Mrs.Meena Jayakumar, along with many participants were gathered

This initiative was taken to create career opportunities and provide better livelihood to the rural women in Coimbatore. By making them self-sufficient, Martin Foundation plans to focus on the larger development goals of the nation.
