India is currently fighting what is known as the peak of the second wave which is deadlier and scarier than the first wave! Many people are affected from all walks of life, making the situation worse than before. Several states and regions were severely affected including the Coimbatore region from the state of Tamil Nadu. Many families are in financial distress as a result of the loss of income.
COVID-19 is one of the worst things the world has ever seen, and according to Mr. Santiago Martin, Founder & Chairman of the Martin Group of Companies, these are the uncertain times where we as responsible citizens must look after one another. He believes that it’s high time we should do something to restore and rebuild humanity. It’s his objective to move India to a better place where it can self-sustain economically. But he also understands that our country will not become one on its own! It is our responsibility as citizens of this country to take proactive actions to bring our country forward.
How does Martin Enterprises help fight hunger?
Martin Enterprises, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, has extended its assistance to help individuals combat hunger. Each day, a nutritious meal was prepared for more than 5000 people. The meal consisted of a variety of foods rich in protein such as vegetables, eggs, and chicken. The meal was prepared with utmost care and packed properly in a hygienic way. The meal was distributed to various parts of the district through several vehicles. Through our initiative, we were able to reach even the remotest tribal villages that lacked nutritional support by our food relief program.
The good news is that in just two weeks, we were able to help more than 50,000 people.
